• Home Edition #1: Nantucket Style

Blues, Whites and Baskets, oh my!

When I think of Nantucket, I think of linen, cotton, crisp white, pale blues, baskets… and… money (ha!). With this in mind, I dug up some items that might just represent that Nantucket style…

  • Summer Dining: Blue & White Dining Table Decor

Blue and white is one of my favorite colors together, although I’ve heard white is not really a color. Anyway, here’s some really simple and classic blue and white pairings for a pulled-together dining table with an ocean twist.

Blue & White Striped Tablecloth with Fringe

    Seashell Place card Holders

    Rattan Dining Chairs

    Blue & White Striped Pillows

These pillows can be used for the backs of the rattan chairs.

    Rattan Placemats

    Seashell for Centerpiece

To be filled with anything you’d like, this large seashell would make a great centerpiece for the table. Think battery operated candle/s, or even smaller shells…

  • 5 Low Centerpieces for Dining Table

Centerpieces should be pretty, but not an obstruction so you can’t see the person across from you. That’s why I hunted down a few nice centerpieces for the dining table or kitchen table. I struggle with finding the perfect centerpiece a lot, so this was well worth investigating.

This floral piece is still low enough to see others and is versatile for use elsewhere when not needed on the table.

This tray doesn’t come with the candles, but those are available on amazon also. What I like about this option is you can switch out the greenery with holiday items such as Christmas balls or Easter eggs.

These candles make for a very romantic or intimate setting and still maintain visibility across the table.

This tray defines the center of the table and allows for low level candles as well as room for a small vase. Another versatile piece.

Not everyone likes the faux floral and I can totally understand that. But how about this farmhouse ‘dough bowl’ that you can put mini pumpkins in, or other holiday themed items… especially center for a long dining table… I just love it!
